We’ve been working with the owners of this characterful Woodbridge cottage for several years, so we were thrilled to take on another of their brilliant challenges. This may be one of our smallest projects to date, but as we all know, small spaces can come in very beautiful packages. From the very beginning, the vision was a quintessential cottage style, filled with all the creature comforts: the sort of scheme that keeps on giving for years to come.

The design brief was extensive so after a few attempts at fitting a super king-size bed into a room that also needed to provide three times the previous storage, we agreed that a bed beneath the window was the solution. It accommodated every practical need — and felt entirely at home within the cottage aesthetic.

The bedroom layout has been completely transformed and, after extensive building work carried out by the tireless owner, we delivered a bedroom and bathroom suite that invites you in to slow down… and stay a while.
